Ballet West Nutcracker 2013

In December I had an amazing opportunity to do Ballet West's Nutcracker (info on Ballet West: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballet_West) I was a Cast B member. I was too tall for any dancing roles, sadly, but I was a Lady in Waiting and a Caroler and it was just amazing to be on the Capitol Theater stage with the Ballet West dancers! I also got to watch all of second act backstage, and that was amazing!

JUMP Dance Convention

In April of 2012, I had the opportunity to go to JUMP Dance Convention with my dance studio, and it was great! I got a chance to meet famous dancers from So You Think You Can Dance and take amazing classes from them. I loved every bit of it.

One of my favorite classes was Mia Michaels class. She was teaching the juniors, and I was in the teen/senior class, but we snuck in. I connected with every bit of choreography of hers and that was the most I have ever felt at peace with dance. (I also made my mom cry with my dancing in her class.)

I also loved meeting all the other dancers! :)

Dance, From the Beginning

Dance is my talent and hobby, and I don't know where I would be in life if I hadn't done dance. I'm a dancer, obviously, and I have been dancing since I was three, and I have been dancing for 10, almost 11 years. I do ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip hop, and I have been doing ballroom for 2 years.

When my older sister was 2, my oldest sister passed away. My older sister was so sorrowful and mournful, so my parents decided they needed to have her do something to get her mind off of it. And lucky for both of us, they had her take dance, and she loved it. Then when I was 3 years old, my parents had me try dance, and I loved it and I have ever since. I love it even more than I ever have because it makes me feel happy and at peace.
